Navy Cadets

Being an Australian Navy Cadet is both rewarding and challenging. If you're into adventure with a nautical flavour then the Navy Cadets could be for you.

As with all Cadet WA types part of your training will include core modules such as First Aid, drill, basic fire fighting skills, navigation and more.

Your core modules are supported by elective modules, but whatever you choose to do you will also get to go:

  • Sailing
  • Hiking
  • Canoeing
  • Camping

As well as learning seamanship skills you will have navigational training, learn naval signals and communications.

Cadets reflect the Navy's strong commitment to the Australian community. Thousands of young Australians have improved their lives by learning citizenship through seamanship as Australian Navy Cadets. Many have progressed to successful careers in the Royal Australian Navy or made significant contributions to their civilian communities in later life.

Being part of the Australian Navy Cadets is fulfilling and rewarding. In addition to your training and the opportunities it allows – you also get the chance to take part in yearly sea treks, overseas exchanges and interstate sailing competitions.

With the Australian Navy Cadets you can guarantee having oceans of fun. So whatever you thought about the Cadets, be prepared to revise it. CadetsWAY is better than you imagine.
